Major points for having all of the vowels in his last name. He wasn't really one I readily considered to be in that next group, I'll be interested to hear the defense of him. EDIT: actually, it might be that he's the only coach above .500 eligible/remaining?
Though you can draft an assistant coach, I'm going to say the undrafted coach I had in mind was Red Kelly actually. Second-most games coach (RS) in our history (pre-80 game seasons too), .423 pts% isn't exactly a glowing endorsement but the Penguins were mostly just rejects and promoted minor leaguers when Kelly coached and to add further complication, the cash-strapped team then had to fight with the WHA starting in 1972 to keep players. Kelly coached from 1969-1973 with us. He was fired in the midst of his best (record-wise) season also. And the replacement coach did worse. Two playoffs in three full years, 6-8 in those playoffs on a team that couldn't win for losing...not too shabby in my eyes...
Maybe I'll (or someone else) add him as an assistant coach later if I don't feel there's a player worth picking.
