The PDT is pretty harmless. Most of us are behaving like caricatures over there anyway.

I never understood the whole foe thing. This is an internet message board, just read the posts you want to and ignore the people you hate.

That's the best thing about the foe option. You get to ignore the people you don't like.

Ignoring people you hate is sort of contradictory.

In the NBA and NFL, what % of the combined teams cap is paid out? And most likely exceeded through signing bonuses etc? How does this compare the the NHL? Seems to me that a number of NHL teams are way below the current cap. Maybe if more revenue sharing was on the table the floor for most teams would equal the cap and the players would truly get x% of revenue.

that's what i hate about that thread. it's so extremist, and i don't get why. it should actually be more calculated and thoughtful than any other thread, but from what i've seen, it's largely just black and white nonsense.

Don't get your hopes up:
It contained – in stupefying details, to the layman – information about technical changes implemented for "the upcoming season," specifically mentioning that the NHL and NHLPA are continuing to work toward a resolution that, if reached, will necessitate that arena personnel are "ready to go."

A few weeks ago, the last time "they got close" some players came back to their home teams... or other things that made it seem like soemthing was comming together. But i guess this is really crunch time, if this doesn't happen its not going to happen.

The NHLPA needs to come back with a comprehensive counter proposal that is close to what the NHL just gave. Also, it needs to BE A REAL PROPOSAL this time. No verbal proposals and no one page documents that you "Haven't run the numbers on". If that happens then i will pay attention. Otherwise, it's just more garbage until the eleventh hour from Fehr and company.
