It's cleaner than their first full length, and more upbeat than the face it EP. It's solid. Also, I downloaded the Christopher Owens (of Girls) full length this morning, I didn't put it on the Ipod though. I'm looking forward to hearing that tomorrow.

Into The Unknown is just one of those albums that I can listen to a song or two for a short period of time, but to have it on while in the car, at the gym, or at work? Probably not. I know it's more the exception to the dozen or so albums that they released, and it's not even that it's unlistenable, but if you're listening to Bad Religion for that Bad Religion Sound, "Unknown" is one to avoid.
Giving this album another chance. I still stand by my earlier comment about it not having that Bad Religion sound, but it's kinda growing on me.
Didn't catch the Kennedy Center Honors the other night on TV, but here's the Led Zep portion... performance by Foos (Grohl doing his best Bonzo), Kid Rock (surprisingly good), Lenny Kravitz, and a stellar version of Stairway by Heart with Jason Bonham (Bonzo's son and leader of Led Zep Experience, which I just saw last month).
I get what you're saying. To some degree, they're hit and miss. I've had friends listen and either loved them for being punk enough to retain their punk roots yet still sound catchy or they hate them for being over the top "dictionary punk", using 5 syllable words when it wasn't needed. I've always dug their sound despite Professor Graffin being somewhat preachy about his agnosticism/naturalism stance. But in his defense, he does present good points even if I dont agree.
You must have done a lot of things right when Meat is Murder is considered your worst album. However, two problems with this list: 1. This Charming Man, easily one of their best tracks, does not really belong on their febut and was only added later to the US version. csb . Not one but two compilations sharing the top spot? Meh.
