So our township contracts out our trash service to Waste Management. They normally come on Friday's, but that was pushed back last week until Saturday because of Christmas. Garbage truck never showed up on Saturday. Checked the township website on Monday and it said trash service was delayed because of the weather and that they were going to be picking up last week's trash on Monday and today, and again on Saturday (delayed one day this week because of New Year's Day). Will be interested to see if my trash has been picked up when I get home. No idea why the weather held them up on Saturday, as our roads were perfectly clear by 10AM. Terrible week for them to not show up too, as everyone has extra trash because of Christmas.

This was in Belle Vernon. Though the groom and his best man both grew up in Morgantown, so it made the speech a tad funnier.

Truck doesnt come from your neighborhood. The area around the hauling site may have been getting crushed by snow. Most trash routes start 2-4 am as well.

Crazy. Found out a former co-worker (who is only a few months younger than me) died back in October. No idea what the cause was, but apparently he had some kind of major health issues.

Some guy sitting next to me at the video poker machines in Rivers hit a straight Royal Flush on Deuce's Wild... $10,000 bucks.

I only play Jacks or Better. Plus, video poker is the only thing where the house has no conceivable advantage. Everything is 100% random.

You may have heard the adage that the "house always has the advantage." Video poker is an exception to that rule. If you look for the most liberal pay tables, and play them properly, you can have a thin advantage.

The cards are chosen at random and the games are fair. There is no switch inside the machine that can make the machine loose or tight.

A royal flush can come along at any time with equal probability. A machine is never "overdue" in the sense that it becomes more likely to hit. Theories such as that a machine will get tight right before hitting a royal are simply not true.

Turnpike tolls are going up again on Sunday by 10%.

The cost of driving on that highway is far outpacing the rate of inflation. Ridiculous.

Gordon Street? Ah, yes, Gordon Street. I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think her and the promise that I made which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street.

Do we have to put up with this? I mean, can't we get a better poster? I know it's a small post, but I think we can do better than this.

So today while helping this girl I work with carry stuff to her car, I slipped on some ice. Although I didn't fall, my arm and my elbow took all my weight and held me up. I laughed it off and said i was fine. Now extremely sore in my upper back, right knee, left shoulder, and my elbow. I got her number but I wonder....is it worth it?
