Okay, I am posting this at 4:30am (dont ask why I'm up), and they are apparently still meeting. As in the same meeting that began like 15 hours ago. No updates whatsoever except every hour someone comes out and tells the media that they're still going. If this doesn't mean the end, I don't know what will. This meeting better end with a final decision, whether it be a cancelled season or complete lockout end, if only out of respect for all the media personnel that have been waiting vigilantly outside literally all night. If i were a reporter, I know I'd be really freakin pissed if they emerged at six in the morning and just said they made progress and will meet again sometime.

So I am guessing this means the 50 game season - and I really thought they would stretch it out until the last minute too.

Same here. Glad to be proven wrong. Guess the players voting twice for the disclaimer spooked the owners a bit into getting deal. Good card to play, the NBAPA did it and within two weeks or so a new CBA was agreed upon.

Either that or both sides have had enough with the games and BS and want to get back to hockey. Either way who cares, the best sport in the world is back!!!

This. You could only talk about varience, HRR and buyouts so much to the point where you just walk away because all you want to talk about is the team and not how to divide up revenue.

I rather talk about the bloom falling off of Blysma's rose then HRR.

Further to @aaronward_nhl reporting Year 2 cap at $64.3 M, I can add that Year 2 floor will be $44 M
