That's a real shame. The season is on and i'm now statting to forget the harsh feelings towards both sides I felt throughout this ordeal.

Same here. Looking forward to finally watching Penguins hockey on TV that you don't know the outcome of. Since the season is starting soon I have to buy a new radio (broke the antenna off the old one). I mean how am I going to listen to Lange, Bourque and Grove without a radio?

Reading through the details of the deal. Nothing major or earth shattering like introduction of the salary cap last bargaining session....surprised to get a deal that was just done that it took this long and a lock out was needed!

But either way, it's business and the puck will drop in a few weeks! Also, this lockout gave Sid's noggin some more time to heal! let's roll...

Pierre LeBrun‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun
Last huge issue at the 11th hour was Year 2 cap. Players wouldn't budge off $64.3 M and league finally gave in at the end

So $70 million this year, 64 million next year and then most likely falls again in 2014-15?

Who would have thought that both sides would just need some time to meet in the middle on a variety of issues. It's almost like it was a real negotiaton or something and the term "bad faith" was silly and no one had any intention of sabotaging the season.
