Its tough..on the one hand I wish I could send a message to the league and players that would be meaningful to them, but on the other hand I know business is business and as someone else posted these guys careers and livelihoods were on the line so how mad can you be.

The thing I'm most pissed about was why the wait until January to sit and knock it out.. why couldnt this be done in October? But I guess maybe that is just how this crap goes, I mean the Government couldnt do anything with the cliff until the last second too.

Yes. It's really stupid when billionaires and millionaires can't avoid such stupidity since there's plenty of dough to go around.

As long as Fehr didn't make a dent in damaging the salary cap it ended okay.

Aside from the 2009 Cup, probably my favorite thing of the last 5 years. :D

The Fiesta is better than this? I don't know.

The Man with the Golden Helmet and his theme song is definitely up there. I love that vid. I was rooting hard for Pesonen, too; I love Finns. But Fiesta's sheer ridiculousness gave it an edge.

There's always room in my world for one more hilarious thing.

This is what I mean! Schlager and the morose audiences who clap along like they have guns to their heads are fantastic stuff.

0:51 - Is the lone excited guy (in the blue tux behind the railing) holding a little bouquet? I tried to make a .gif from 0:51-0:59 and it didn't work.
1:05 - Nice tie, ticked-off ZDF employee.
1:26 - Is that a stuffed animal behind the old man? what the...
1:43 - Is that Roland's actual address in case a viewer would want to stalk him?

Nope, not his real address, it's his "Autogrammadresse" where you write to to get an autograph. Ah, those were the days.

It's an awesome record! I saw them in Atlanta years ago and they closed the show with "Trip You Up" and it WAS a trip of massive strobes and fog.

Well, I canceled my cable TV.

So, I guess I'm back as much as I can find a game streaming online somewhere.

It's the same as right after waking up after a good night's sleep. Will take me a little while to get going, but I'm pretty sure I'll soon be sitting there watching every game and maybe even watch more closely now since it's been a while.
