How big was the bottle, and how full was it?

Regular sized bottle, still with cap wrapper? Yes.
If you felt guilty, or looked around to make sure no one was looking? Yes.

Um, ask for salsa cup to take hot sauce to go, fill up cup. Not stealing and 5 oz of hot sauce.

This is the only sauce worth "borrowing".

That's what I usually do. So would it be stealing to empty an entire sauce thing into the plastic things? If this is the case, are you only stealing the glass bottles?

Cholula is preferred for most food. For burritos I need the chipotle tobasco.

1) lack of Cholula at Chipotle is depressing

2) Unless you are buying for a large group, I would think more than one cup of sauce to go would obviously be excessive and closer to stealing.

Local takeout Mexican place charges $.25 per little plastic cup of their hot sauce. They place the squeeze bottles at the counter where you pay if you eat in.

Thanks to those that take more sauce than needed to enjoy a single meal, the rest of us with restraint must pony-up a quarter.

Theft increases rates for the honest. Don't be a hot sauce thief. We all pay for your hot sauce fix.

(Their hot sauce is worth a quarter per shot)

What if the bottle is like a quarter full. Can someone take the rest of the bottle, without emptying the contents into a plastic cup?

Cholula is the best. Love it on scrambled eggs.

Is the issue you guys have with taking the physical bottle? Or are you assuming people are taking more than they need. What if I use everything remaining in the bottle?

What if I go to the bathroom at my local dining establishment and use some of the complementary hand soap? If I put the soap in my bag and take it home with me, it's no big deal because I'll use it to wash my hands at home

Lol, I was trying to think of a food analogy but I'm tired. I would at least ask for a to go container. How much hot sauce do some of you people eat? I use it sparingly to complement certain dishes

I use a decent amount for a burrito. Maybe 1/5 of a bottle. So if the bottle is exactley 1/5 full, is it ok to just take the bottle? Or should I just empty the whole thing into a container? I can understand why some people may say it's stealing the bottle which maybe can be recycled for 4 cents.

No different than grabbing 20 ketchup packets at chick fila (they use the new high tech ketchup packets)

Yeah....I mean if im out and say its a enchilada, I use like 4-5 small drops just for flavor. Its not ketchup where you squirt a pile of it on your plate. Heck, my body doesn't really care for hot sauce anymore so I use it sparingly.

Why don't you just buy a couple bottles for home?

I'm like most of the folks, just about 4 or 5 good drops is enough. 1/5 of the bottle is way too much for me.
