ROH taping literally right across the street from my job next month. i could conceivably be going to a ROH show and a Chikara show inside of a week. i think the last wrestling thing i went to was a wwe house show in like 1999. i did go to a nitro once, and starrcade 98 (sting/hogan)...

Lets put it this way, there's no one in the WWE right now who is capable of cutting a 20 minute promo like Punk.

a 20 minute promo where the crowd is listening to his every word.

The Rock could do a 20 minute promo, but it would be loaded with 96 variations of catchphrases and parts where he's waiting for the crowd to chant his name. I don't know, maybe he isn't even writing his stuff anymore or he's just going off of what WWE gives him, but it makes his character looks stale. Pre-nWo Hulk Hogan from 1996 would probably even agree that Rock's character is predictable and boring.

I am hearing rumors that El Generico has signed with the WWE. On one hand, I think he is maybe the best in ring performer in the world, and I'm happy to see him get a steady pay check, and not have to kill himself in front of 200 people every night.

On the other hand, his character (pasty white Canadian dude who acts like a generic Mexican luchador) is kind of a hard sell to casual WWE fans, and I don't think he's very well suited for the 5 minutes of punchy punchy WWE match style. Plus, they're probably going to unmask him and call him something vaguely extreme, like Tazer Frakkas or something.

Also, pretty sure he won't be able to use maybe the best wrestling move ever, the BRAINBUSTAAAAH!!! Which is a top rope brainbuster, where he drops them headfirst on the turnbuckle.

Yeah, I guess this is official. Nothing would make me happier than seeing him with the same gimmick in the WWE, but I don't see that happening.,

Look up El Generico on youtube. I don't think I've ever even heard of him having a bad match.
