I do the same thing. I hoard them. I don't think twice about it. It's technically stealing. It's not right. But I don't lose any sleep over it. I do many worse things so I lose sleep over those. Actually, I sleep quite well.

I like to take those wax paper ketchup cups. Perfect for jello shots.

So what I'm taking away from this thread is that theft isn't theft if, in the thief's eyes, the purloined item has little value.

You can send me hot sauce, I'll pm you my address.

I think it's a funny and interesting topic, because nobody has a real answer.

What I took from this is that it really only depends on how much sauce you intend on using. Taking a certain amount of sauce for me may be stealing. But, if someone else takes the exact same amount of sauce, it may not be stealing.

No it is stealing. Period. Stop being cheap and just buy hot sauce instead of potentially ruining it for everyone else who enjoys Chipolte burritos with hot sauce

lol, you're nuts. Explain to me how using the exact same amount of hot sauce outside the store is stealing, but inside it is not. Again, if you're talking about the 4 cent bottle, then I agree with you. Otherwise, you're wrong.

Don't remove the bottle from the store it is stealing. Put it in the cup that they provide for you. How is this so hard? And seriously why do you refuse to buy a $3 bottle of hot sauce?

Ok then we're in agreement. I have no problem at all buying bottles of hot sauce. But why in the world would I, when they have it for free? All I use it on is chipotle burritos. Lucky for me, when I go buy a burrito, they are kind enough to offer it to paying customers for free.

This reminds me of signs I've seen at certain McDonald's restaurants that say something to the effect of "free refills are only available to customers who haven't left the premises." Apparently enough customers thought their purchase of a soft drink entitled them to free refills for life as long as they held on to the original cup that McDonald's had to make these signs.

Yeah, thats different and definitely stealing. You should be able to get one last refill at the time of purchase before you leave the place though, right?

the real question is why would you put hot sauce on a chipotle burrito when it's already effing delicious

Their hot salsa is good enough for me. Opening my burrito seems like a disastrous mess waiting to happen when I try to re wrap it and eat it.

nooo never open the burrito. Take one row of bites, then add some sauce to the next couple bites. You will have to apply the sauce about 8-10 times.

I don't use hot sauce, but why don't you just pour it on where you want to bite if you want it?
