Now you're just being silly.

but if you don't think it's ok to steal the bottle and still do it, is it stealing?

Yes it is. But it's much better stealing and knowing it than stealing and trying to justify it as not stealing.

Anytime I steal something, I know full well I'm doing it.

A restaurant has a vat of blue cheese dressing at the salad bar, which any paying customer can use.
The OP would have you believe that it is ok for him to take the container home with him, just because he might want some more later.

Yep. I knew I was stealing the glass from Hofbrau Haus the minute I stuck it up my coat sleeve. The night I met MelicharSux and DocBoni there for drinks.

but does blue cheese weigh philosophically as much as hot sauce?

Since cheese usually involves death (via rennet), I would say more so. :pop:

Blue cheese is more calming I would think. It wouldn't create the sensory overload hot sauce does that would lead to a lack of moral integrity and judgment.

that's interesting, I would even argue that many a rub/dipping sauce is made with the combination of such blue cheese and hot sauce, thus providing the dissertation that one should be amalgamated with the other, showing the weight may be closer than originally thought.

It's been said countless times, that we're assuming the use of the sauce is for the burrito you just bought. So again, wrong example. However, if I did infact need an entire bottle of dressing for my salad, then yes I should be able to take that much dressing.

Exactly, they're assuming that most people wont use the opportunity to walk out of the store with as much hot sauce as they can carry.

If I brought a 5-gallon jug into Chipotle's and asked them to fill it up with hot sauce (after I placed my order, of course) I don't think I'd receive a positive response from the store's management, unless they were stoned or had been drinking Jose Cuervo.

Indeed. I've always viewed the blue cheese dressing that you get with Buffalo wings as an antidote to use if you overdo it with the spicy stuff.
