was it on in ur neck of the woods? 38 minutes of the absolute worst ncaa athletic action of any kind I've ever seen, then 7 minutes (2 reg + 5 OT) of the most exciting basketball you'll see in which neither team looks like they want to win

Yeah, ESPN covered it nationally.

You're right about the quality sucking for most of the game. I think WVU didn't realize this was a business trip for their first foray into Austin.

They did get their act together down the stretch (when it counted) so I'll take the win.

Butler opened the A-10 with a win at St. Joes. Very exciting and well-played game, back and forth the whole way. I do not miss watching the Horizon League one bit.

My alma mater went 1-31 last year and set an NCAA record with a 41-game winning losing streak. :face: They're 8-8 this year and on their first 4-game winning streak in 12 years. I'm giddy.

My Zips are 10-4. First 2 losses were without 2 starters who got suspended for 3 games because the athletic dept. didn't file some papers last year :face: One of those losses was to Ok State in OT. RPI of 78 right now, should be 12-2 without the dumb suspensions and a W over Ok State. Would have been the year for an at large bid, but I think they'll roll through MAC play anyway.

I talk a lot of Pitt on here, but I'm a bigger Akron fan since I went there. Not much to talk about the past 3 football seasons (3 total wins ) but the basketball team is dang impressive. They've been to 6 straight conference championships and have 8 straight 20 win seasons.

lol, did anyone else catch the end of the Duke-NC State game? When they rushed the court after beating Duke, one of the first kids out there was some dude in a wheelchair. He gets out to the middle of the court, and the last thing you see is the human swell pushing his wheel chair to the left and then he tips over.

Very scary moment in the Butler at Dayton Game. On a breakaway, Butler star Rotnei Clarke was fouled hard from behind and the crown of his head his the standard with his neck bending akwardly. He was down about 6-8 minutes, and was taken off on a stretcher. He is en route to a Dayton hospital for X-rays and is fully concious.

The 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers can pop the champagne, as both Duke & Michigan go down this weekend.

make that the longest in the country now. Kansas got knocked off. 13 in a row.. McKeesport's Zeke Marshall is #1 in the country shooting percentage and top 5 I believe in blocks.
