I just liked that the TD was scored by Mike Shanahan (who like myelf went to Norwin HS).

Tino is just 7 yards short of passing up Dan Marino in passing yards. Yikes.

Thankfully this awful season is over. Good riddance Tino, what an awful football player.

This. People would go on and on about his stats and by that say he was a decent QB. Tino was the type of QB you actually had to watch because his stats can be misleading. Yes his passing stats were decent but never won us a game, made a big play or came through in pressure situtations. Everytime the game got close, he would wither under pressure. I mean watching him play QB today was about as painful as getting a root canal he was so bad with all his sacks, batted balls and throwing it out of bounds.

Rumor has it that Kerry Cooks, Notre Dame defensive backs coach / co-defensive coordinator will be named Pitt's d-coordinator tomorrow. This all makes sense as to why it hasnt been announced yet (since ND is still playing). Cooks also coached with Chryst at Wisconsin for 4 years.

I dont know much about the guy, but Notre Dame's D has been terrific this year. Not sure why he would leave ND since he is already co-defensive coordinator, but my guess is that it is in title only, and Diaco is calling most of the shots. I guess this would be his chance to run his own ship.

its fitting that tino played like butt at the bbva compass bowl. over the last week, there was a lot of sympathy for tino and a lot of people waxing poetic about his legacy. at the end of the day, he won 20 games and lost 19.

kenny the kangaroo wishes there was to research the career records of guys who had 30 or more starts at the college level. you gotta figure there arent that many guys with 3 years of starting experience. you also gotta figure that of the guys with 30 or more starts, tino has to be near the bottom in terms of winning percentage.

He would have a better legacy if they hadn't thrown one year away with Fraudy. But the guy was fatally flawed, nothing could overcome the fact that his decision-making was slow and poor.

Tino's stats (passing yards, more specifically) were inflated because he always put up numbers when it didn't matter. In the 39 games he started, he never lead the team to win after trailing at halftime. The kid loved Pitt, and was tough as nails, but absolutely folded every time there was pressure on him. It was fitting that with nothing on the line, he threw maybe his best ball in 3 years to Shannahan at the end for the TD.

Pitt's Home Schedule next year includes Nova, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Florida State, UNC, Miami, and UVA. Pretty happy that we get 2 preseason top 10 opponents at home next year. Should be fun.

And Navy. As of right now, my bucket list for ACC road trips includes, FSU, Clemson, and GT.

Surprised they are going to Syracuse again next year (since they were already there this year), but if the trade-off is FSU at home, I'll take that all day.

also if pitt attendence sucks next year, then there is truly no hope for this program and this fan base. but it will be sad if the 4 people who have seats directly in front of kenny the kangaroo start show up because that leg room was indeed nice.

blacksburg is decent. the stadium is loud but kind of dumpy. kenny the kangaroo went down there during the michael vick/latief grim/antonio bryant era.

I'd advise against Duke. Wallace Wade Stadium is a joke and seats about 35k, which is usually less than half full. There's little to no tailgating and the only thing redeeming about the trip would be touring campus, which is admittedly beautiful. Wait a year and plan for NC State or Carolina.
