Larry Ward, chairman of the national Gun Appreciation Day wrote:"I think Martin Luther King, Jr. would agree with me if he were alive today that if African Americans had been given the right to keep and bear arms from day one of the country's founding, perhaps slavery might not have been a chapter in our history,"

Nah, if John Brown and others would have succeeded, they would have shot the damned slaveholder plantation owners and lived a nice life, free of bondage. They could go back to Africa if they really wanted, but....you know, 'Murica

The two main reasons I hate the bastard are:

1) Free Mumia
2) His 9/11 garbage

I wasn't that tuned into the Mumia crap until I moved to Philadelphia....talk about a movement that makes absolutely zero sense. The rest is self-explanatory

PARIS - Several hundred thousand people are expected to march through Paris on Sunday against the planned legalization of same-sex marriage in the first mass protest against the unpopular President Francois Hollande. Strongly backed by the Catholic hierarchy, lay activists have mobilized a hybrid coalition of church-going families, political conservatives, Muslims, evangelicals and even homosexuals opposed to gay marriage for the show of force.

No, they were zero-fifths of a 'citizen'. They were counted as 3/5 of a human for census purposes.

And it wasn't just about additional representation (read: power) in Congress, it was also, perhaps more so, about the apportionment of taxes collected.

I don't know, the facts as they are presented in the article point to a legit case. Don't know all the facts, obviously, but the article does make it seem like a retaliatory move.

People impacted by Sandy want a federal buyout of their property. I thought that they were out of their minds until I read that these type of options actually exist. What a joke. My property isn't worth what I paid for either. Where do I sign up for my buyout?
