what better way to cleanse the wounds of last year?

Or poor salt in them.

I'd rather play anybody except Philly the first game, especially there.

Whether or not you think you'll win or lose, you have to want the chance to move past that series.

I ain't scurred

; I'm just not mentally ready for the BS, if that makes any sense. But a win will make the short ramp-up a lot better.

Same here LT. I don't get scared over who they play; I just have a low BS tolerance. Whenever they play WSH or PHI, the game almost becomes secondary and I don't like when that happens.

Very true, but they have nobody but themselves to blame for that.

The only concern I have about opening at Philly is Fleury's head. If he plays the way he is capable the Pens are better than them. Don't forget Philly's D is beat up.

Plus, when you live out here in SE PA, the BS is, well, everywhere.
And, yes, the last time, the Pens absolutely had themselves to blame for that. There's something wrong in the world when Yukon Cornelius Hartnell wonders why the other team is losing their minds.
I love the Flower and hope, as we all do, that his head is right. I don't care if he poops horseshoes as long as he's on.

If Jan. 19th was in Pittsburgh instead it would be much more feared since the Flyers beat the Pens all but 1 home game at consol Energy Center last year.

Putting Sid on the road in the first week or so makes a lot of sense. He tends to draw a crowd wherever he goes.

Philly isn't going to have trouble selling out. The schedule is based on availability of arenas. Saturday the Pens were scheduled away and one of their division rivals were scheduled at home.

I don't mind seeing my team play in June, but I'd rather the season ended in May.
