29 of the games are on NBC, NBCSP or NHLN.
If they want me to buy Center Ice, it's going to have to be real cheap.

guess I need to re-add the sports package to my cable. LOL. I dropped it when the lockout hit b/c I didn't need it, but with all those NHLN games, I gotta get it back up.
So I need to find a way to watch 19 games? Hello GameCenter Live (assuming it's super cheap)

Brutal schedule but I'll take it over nothing at all. I'm sure many other teams are in similar predicaments that are far worse than us.

I kinda like the compressed, short schedule. I know I'm in the minority, but I like a shorter season.

25 games will be on NBCSN or NHL Network. Another 4 on NBC. Then for me two more on the Canes local sports network.
31 of 48 for free on TV. Gamecenter better be heavily discounted if not free this year.

Being able to watch a game every other day sure is nice.

Is the Canes network broadcast or just cable TV? I cut the cable a year ago so now I just have broadcast TV here in Charlotte, and internet. Been thinking of getting NHL Network on my Roku but with so many games on broadcast TV, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Cable. You will need local cable in the Canes region to get 27 of the games. Of course I am going to break down and get Gamecenter but they really need to address this, especially with NHL Network which is just airing the feeds of certain games.

Thanks, DelPen. Do you know any good sports bars to watch Penguin games in South Charlotte? I've been to the Fox & Hound a few times for Steelers games, but don't know if they have Pens' games, or if there's any better alternative.

Nope. A Wild Wings though will probably have hockey one one of the 200 TVs. A new on opened in Rivergate.
