I would say no one can stop this ridiculous Pats offense, but the Giants proved me wrong before

Frank Gore is probably my favorite football player, so I guess I'll root for San Fran.

I'll root for the patriots. I always want the AFC to win (except the ravens) and I also don't want San Francisco to get their 6th superbowl.

Meh I don't really care about the 49ers getting a 6th SB. If it's in fact Pats and 49ers i'll rooting for the 49ers because I cannot stand Belicheat (although I do like Brady) and love watching Frank Gore play. Also although I can't stand Hsrbaugh's personality, I do think he's a pretty good coach.

I dont think the city is to be honest. Every response to everything from everyone is always "6 SuperBowls." Altho if Niners win there will be shirts all around town about being the first to 6

I decided to keep track, just for poops and chuckles because I'm a total jerkweed...

Tom Brady vs. Houston 1/13/13

At halftime:
Passes that traveled 4 or less yards from the line of scrimmage: 9 of 10 (90%)
Passes that traveled 5+ yards from the l.o.s.: 6 of 14 (42.9%)
*Passes that traveled 10+ yards from the l.o.s.: 3 of 5 (60%)
*Passes that traveled 15+ yards from the l.o.s.: 1 of 3 (33%)

Total:
Passes that traveled 4 or less yards from the line of scrimmage: 15 of 20 (75%)
Passes that traveled 5+ yards from the l.o.s.: 10 of 20 (50%)
*Passes that traveled 10+ yards from the l.o.s.: 4 of 7 (57.1%)
*Passes that traveled 15+ yards from the l.o.s.: 1 of 4 (25%)

* - Overlap with previous category (i.e. a 12 yard pass counts for 5+ and 10+).

3 for 5 on throws I'd rate as "tough" (the 3: 3rd & long throw to Wes Welker late in the 1st quarter in tight coverage; Welker sideline streak mid/late 2nd; and the Vereen touchdown in the 2nd half to seal it).

Not gleaning anything from it (yet), just putting it out there in case anyone finds it interesting.

Well, it didn't take long for Baltimore to produce some bulletin board material

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2012/st ... ts-twitter

I don't like the Pats, but if you have followed them at all the past 10 years, you know that this stuff does fire them up. I mean, they based their entire 18-1 season on being disrespected by imaginary people. I hope they put up 70 on Baltimore.

Does anyone else think Ray Lewis is coming back? I have this weird feeling he's just doing this to motivate his team and isn't retiring.

No there not. The Ravens are the furthest team from the lesser of the known evils.

Agreed, maybe I am wrong but I will never ever be able to see past Spygate. The thing that I always argued was I hated the "payers still have to make plays" argument. The thing about what they did was they constantly put the players in the best position to succeed, doesnt mean they always will, there are some great players on the other teams.

My example is always the James Harrison play in the Super Bowl. Regardless if he did some on his own, the Steelers called a zone blitz. If Kurt Warner or the coach knows this and calls a fade and and the corner still breaks it up, its a game changing play we didnt know about. Players can still make plays, stop an audibled run, but the bottom line is they always put themselves in position to not fail. But if the Cardinals kick a field goal that is a game changing play - those negative type plays rarely happened to the Pats.

After I read the book (and tried to read it with an open mind) I cant stomach them at all. The quotes and evidence from players long before Spygate even came about (getting copies of other teams audibles, Flutie admitting that the QB helmets had a 2nd feed that talked to the QB during the play, Bradys contract and so forth), I just cant barely watch games. The Josh McDaniels section is so damning its scary.

It was systematic cheating and it won them super bowls. Even if they are legit now, they deserved a much harsher penalty and players have been exiled from the sport and other entities for less.

It destroyed other players and coaches legacies and for that they deserve nothing.

I hate the ravens, their coach and everything about Ray Lewis. But if they win and win fair and square so be it, I just think Brady and The Genius should have a tarnished legacy, because in the process they tarnished someones legacy, whether it be Manning, or McNabb or Schottenheimer or Rivers (and would have been Cowher if he didnt come across a super bowl). Just cant get past that in my mind.

Flame away at me. I cant help it.

I don't like the Pats anymore than you do. But spygate was a long time ago and there's no way in hell I would even think of rooting for Suggs, Rice, Lewis, Harbaugh and those fans. There not the lesser of the known evils and im not even hesitating to root for them over the Ratbirds next week.

I don't think the 9ers are even in a game against the Patriots. I'm seeing 4 quarters that look like the second half of the first matchup. Brady angry.
