That list makes no sense. On what planet is South Florida worth more than the University of North Carolina?

I kinda like that list, it may have a flaw here and there (what list doesn't?) and the numbers may be a tad bit inflated, but it sounds about right.

Oh, and from a football only sense, I can see where USF may have more merchandizing and TV revenue potential than UNC. After all, the 'Delta' is only 400k

He's not fat enough to remind me of Bettis, but throughout the game my brain was salivating at the thought of seeing him in a Steelers uniform. /yinzered

this makes troy loney sound like a self loathing yinzer

Troy Loney might deny being a yinzer, but he's not one of these people that attribute every stupid sports opinion to being "typical yinzer". This seems to be the dominant attitude of the local sports talk media. Troy Loney doesn't disagree that the callers are stupid, and probably yinzers, but Troy Loney despises how the hosts just attack. It's like their completely ignorant of the fact that their show appeals most strongly to the lowest common denominator.

Great column on this asinine "controversy". If any feminist or otherwise was actually offended at the labeling of the quarterback's girlfriend as "beautiful", STFU. Here's one of the most vocally angry feminists:

“It’s extraordinarily inappropriate to focus on an individual’s looks. In this instance, the appearance of the quarterback’s girlfriend had no bearing on the outcome of the game. It’s a major personal violation, and it’s so retrograde that it’s embarrassing."

Quick Google. What a crock of bull.

Had no idea where the investigation was, but it looks like the NCAA is still probing (hehe) Miami.

Dumping MD is already paying off. Now if BC could be pawned off on someone the ACC would be free of toxic assets.

My alma mater had a crappy (D-III) football team, which I always figured was a good omen for my employment prospects.

The Big East continues its slow death. Pitt couldn't even give them a quick death when they stabbed the conference in the back. Sloppy work.

But there is no SSA record there of the death of Lennay Marie Kekua, that day or any other. Her passing, recounted so many times in the national media, produces no obituary or funeral announcement in Nexis, and no mention in the Stanford student newspaper.

Nor is there any report of a severe auto accident involving a Lennay Kekua. Background checks turn up nothing. The Stanford registrar's office has no record that a Lennay Kekua ever enrolled. There is no record of her birth in the news. Outside of a few Twitter and Instagram accounts, there's no online evidence that Lennay Kekua ever existed.

The photographs identified as Kekua—in online tributes and on TV news reports—are pictures from the social-media accounts of a 22-year-old California woman who is not named Lennay Kekua. She is not a Stanford graduate; she has not been in a severe car accident; and she does not have leukemia. And she has never met Manti Te'o.
