cold packs have worked for me. A lot of people think warm compresses but my doctor told me that isnt true. Cold is better. and he's a doctor.

Cold reduces swelling and decreases blood flow. Heat increased blood flow, but that means increased swelling.

put a tennis ball between your lower back and a wall. then move your back from side to side or all around or whatever while applying pressure. it feels pretty great.

It is just soreness in the small of my back, mainly in the middle. Feels more muscle related. Just tightness and it's sore.
