I thought it was a dirty hit then and still do with clear intent to injure and I'm hardly one that subscribes to figure-skating style of NHL hockey. Cole already had his back turned going to the wall and then loses control of the puck and is looking for it, all the time his back is definitely to Orpik before he gets driven up high right into the boards head first.

Pens were losing this game and frustrated and Orpik just went overboard there.
