Good Evening, Penguins fans, and welcome to your Game Day Thread. Tonight, Letsgopens.com brings you the Pittsburgh Penguins vs the New York Rangers in an Atlantic Division matchup.

TV: ROOT Sports, NHL Network Radio: WXDX and the Penguins Radio Network

The Pens beat the Rangers, 5-2 in Pittsburgh on April 5, 2012. Richard Park scored the game winner.
*Former Penguins Arron Asham and Mike Rupp will likely play for the Rangers, who also acquired forward Rick Nash from Columbus in the off season. *Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby owns a thirteen-game scoring streak against the Rangers, dating to January of 2009. He's averaged two points a game against them over that span. *Joe Vitale was scratched in favor of Dustin Jeffrey yesterday. Vitale skated with the fourth line in the morning skate today and will likely play tonight.
"It feels pretty good. I kind of forget about it, since it didn't happen last season." - Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, on setting the all time franchise Goaltending Wins Record.
"I like to shoot it, and Geno, with how highly skilled he is, brings a lot of guys to him. He moves at a high speed and he‘s always making defenders come to him, which usually leaves a guy open. He‘s dangerous to shoot the puck so you‘ve got to respect that, and when a goalie is respecting him to shoot that gives me a better opportunity to score. We just work off each other. He likes to have the puck a lot, so I try to give it to him." - James Neal on why he and Evgeni Malkin click as linemates.
The Penguins are healthy. For the Rangers, Defenseman Michael Sauer is out with a concussion.
TONIGHT'S GORDIE HOWE HAT TRICK (for your pregame or intermission enjoyment):
Goal: All Geno
Assist: Morozov to Kovy. The Great One just shakes his head.
Fight: Old Time Hockey. Includes (arguably) Lemieux v Sandstrom
Respect the game, Respect the other posters, keep the JuJu good, remember that pucks, like baseballs, can sometimes leave the playing surface, and most importantly, have fun!
This is one of those games I get to start watching at home, then listen to it on the radio driving to work, then catch the end at work. That being said it's great to have hockey back. It'd be outstanding to start the season with 2 road wins. Doing it against the Flyers and Rangers just icing on the cake.

I just hope no one gets injured. MSG is a dump.
I thought I heard as part of the CBA the players will be able to comment on the condition of the ice following each game. I thought they said something about an app on their phones that would allow them to comment on it. Only reason I recall that was because when I heard it I immediately though MSG would get poor ratings every game.
