Used Costco a bit, for remote upload but local pickup. Decent pricing. Also had stuff by mail from Shutterfly.

We ordered our save the dates from Snapfish and they were decent quality. A bit on the expensive side, we got 120 prints, (I think they were a weird size like 5x8 maybe the reason for the price) for $96. 10% cashback when you go through discover.

I'm looking for a nice case for my honeymoon. I want something big enough to hold a camera, extra lens (probably a third lens too by the time we leave on our honeymoon), a GoPro camera with a few small accessories, and maybe a few other things. I'm thinking a backpack or satchel style would be best (I have an over-the-shoulder bag and it constantly falls off my shoulder). Any recommendations?

Also any recommendations for a decent third lens? I was thinking maybe either a fisheye or a wide angle. Not looking to break the bank either (sub $250 is ideal). I have a 55/250 and the kit 18/55 right now. (Canon T3)

i would stay away from anything that is branded with a camera company's name as it is a mark for thieves.

The more beat up looking your bag is, the better off you are when traveling. I use an old satchel. If you're really worried about your gear getting damaged, throw in some bubble wrap.

fish eye lenses have always seemed like kind of a novelty to me. i don't know what the practical use would be. 18mm is already pretty wide, so considering your budget, i wouldn't go down that route. you're probably looking at $400-$500 to get a decent wide angle lens. you can shoot from 18 to 250 as is, which will cover landscape, portrait and superzoom stuff. so if i were you, i would now look into a higher quality lens, albeit a less versatile lens. i'm not familiar with canon, but with a little poking around, this is the one i would probably go with:

a 50mm prime lens (prime means no zooming) with a 1.8 or wider aperture has a ton of value. i have some pretty fancy stuff in my camera bag, but if i have to pick one lens to take with me to any given event, it's almost always going to be my 50mm.

More advanced photographers can likely speak more eloquently to this but I would not go cheap on lenses. I received a 50mm 1.4 prime for christmas and it is amazing. After doing some reading if you are thinking about buying a new lens and can't afford or don't want to pay for a more expensive lens yet, just wait because you will likely upgrade that lens eventually anyways

i have a 1.4 as well, but my camera is "FX", so i need to use that model. from everything i've heard, on a camera like mac's, there isn't much of a difference in quality between the pricey 1.4 and the much cheaper 1.8.

Anyone heard of our used Magic Lantern for a Canon?

It's a firmware replacement that boots from a card (so I don't think it erases your canon firmware), but some of the features it has for videoing is exactly what I need.

It seems when I go to a friends wedding - I'm asked to video it (which I do, cause they are all good people). Anyway I used my Canon t3i in conjunction with my other HD camera this weekend, and liked the video much more, but focusing was near impossible by hand because I couldnt see through the LCD what was zoomed, and manually focusing with the lens made it impossible to keep the hand steady.

This lets you focus using the buttons, and has some features that show you what exactly you are focused on through the LCD. You can google it, just wondered if anyone else had used it.
