Do you genuinely think that I made the comment without knowing the Vols were in the SEC? That was the very point of the joke; they are $200mm in debt, despite playing in best and the most (or second-most) lucrative conference.

Reminds me of the time I was down in Peru transacting business on behalf of two Fortune 5 (yes 5; what kind of plebian accepts an engagement for anyone by the absolute "cream of the crop") companies and a rather, shall we say, interesting international financier who goes only by "LeClerque." I was -- of course -- speaking the native Quechua aboriginal language, when I became involved in a rather nasty Brazilian jujitsu scuffle as a result of my misunderstanding a joke. The gentleman asked me if "Ghersd zbnhy tach?", and I responded "cashuyh" thinking he had said "zRbnhy" rather than "zbnhy" (the joke related to the nature and extent of Peru's gold reserves, which looking back on it, the joke should have elicited a hearty laugh). Needless to say -- or perhaps not, depending on your familiarity with Quechua -- the gentleman took great offense and placed me into the Brazilian version of a crucifix hold. Had I not been accompanied by the American ambassador, I may not have been alive to tell this story. Four hundred seventy fifth scariest moment of my life, according to the file I maintain on my person at all times, "Scariest Moments of Life/Walmart receipts."
