Pitt has a 16-5 FT attempt advantage and leads by 2 with 7:18 to go.

JJ Moore is impressively useless.

Turnovers. Missed FTs. Dumb fouls. Nice when Pitt can check all the boxes in one game. All they have to do is not screw up and they'll see this out.

Pitt's trying to borrow the Steelers game plan of making games against jobber opponents more difficult than necessary.

I know he had a decent game, but I almost exploded when Patterson missed his foul shot with about 30 seconds left, ran over and fouled the Providence guy not allowing any clock to burn off giving him a 1 and 1.
GRRRRRRRRRR.

He is and he also played pretty damn well early in the seasona against lesser competition, but he doesn't have the size to play PF against the big boys. It neutralizes his athletic abilities (and decent outside shot) and forces him to try to rebound against guys 6 inches taller. He's not being used properly.

If he wasn't playing the 4, he wouldn't be playing. If his athletic abilities are neutralized while playing the 4, they aren't going to play any better at the 3.
Fact is, they have more influential players at the 3 at the moment.

Pitt has shot 3-12 from the free throw line tonight. Pathetic.

pitt's zone "defense" was an abomination.

Jamie Dixon teams have always been terrible at FT's, though 3-12 is inexcusable.
Losing Robinson for most of the first half certainly didn't help their chances. He is the only guy I trust with the ball. And they really needed him last night with how good the L'ville guards are.

Yeah i'm pretty sure Pitt has always been above 60% as a team. I don't know what they are now but its not good. I don't think its a stretch to say that Adams is the worst free throw shooter i've ever seen.

Both were playing zone, both were very poor on the defensive glass.
Can't believe there were only 35 fouls called and Lville had a +5 advantage in fouls.

Say what you want about Pitt's physicality, I think they are a better fit in ACC.

Huh?
You do realize that Pitt is in the NCAA, and the WPIAL is for high school teams?

I think Pitt would just roll over WPIAL teams, with the talent and age factor, no one could keep up with them.
