Dan Patrick with Rob Dibble back on ESPN was my absolute favorite. I listended to that show every single day and loved it better than a lot of tv shows. Then they moved to Fox and decided to team him up with about 6 dweebs who spend the entire show making sure the audience knows that each one has cute little nicknames. Even the commericals are centered around what they call each other. Just complete crap.

its an homage to the code name we used for my friends dad in highschool, who's farm we used to drink at on the weekends. This way we could plan parties at school, and only select people knew what "Dudemans farm, friday at dark o clock" meant, thus keeping out the squares we didnt want there. Its not 'cute.' Its hardcore undercover stuff.

But national talk show guys suck so bad that its almost impossible to choose a worst

Cowherd is worthless, even as far as national hosts go.

Somebody please make something to do in Sacramento so Nick quits calling every host with the same comments every day.

Filliponi must be in hog heaven right now with the way the Pens are playing he's has about 15 different ways to go to be a contrarian when people call in about the team. Example would be:

Call 1
Caller: Malkin just doesnt seem to be with it. He's turning the puck over like crazy and doesnt seem to be gaining the zone very well.

Poni: Yeah last time I checked Malkin won the MVP and Art Ross trophy. Blame him. How about the defense? They're soft and let guys behind them all the time.

Next Call:
Caller: I really think we need another defenseman. These guys dont hit, they constantly get shots blocked and cant hit the net

Poni: Its not the defensemans job to provide offense. We have an MVP who turns the puck over every time and looks disinterested.

Paul Alexander and crew should just outright stop talking hockey.

"Its like this, if you score more goals, your defense will be "jazzed up" and you'll play better defense." -- Things I actually heard from him this morning

Paul Alexander should just outright stop talking. Period.

This would actually make me happier. I can't stand Paul in the morning. The other two guys, Gionoti (sp?) and Collony are alright, but Paul just ruins that show for me. I'd rather listen to almost anyone else but him.

Agreed; I don't mind the other two. Giannotti can be a bit obnoxious with callers sometimes, but generally he and Colony I like. Were the show the two of them I'd be happy, notwithstanding the fact that Giannotti doesn't really know hockey either.

Giannotti will be gone soon, he's a national weekend host and I feel he's biding his time here until something opens up in a bigger market or on a nationwiade weekday show.

Also saw that Seibel has some sort of tumor that was discovered in a bone scan. Hoping it is not malignant and was caught early. Although he didn't work out in Pgh he has the better pat of his career in front of him.

I'd rather choose to snazzy up the defense as opposed to jazzing it up.

Vinnie and Cook were talking about the hall of dame and if Hines will get in on the first ballot. Vinnie says since Hines is still on tv and is on a cooking comp and won DWTS that will play in his favor. Cook says that's a stupid idea, and Vinnie kept on saying "he was on Dancing on the Stars".....he said "Dancing on the Stars" about 5 times.
