Good first period. The caps got on their forecheck a bit towards the end and were aided by some sloppy puck management by the Pens. Go in, regroup and tighten up that breakout for the second period and the Pens should be golden.

From what i have seen, the caps aren't playing that strong on the wall. The Devils were playing far better yesterday and the Pens simply waited for them to make mistakes in the neutral zone. Have to do that here.

The Pens need to stay focused, and can't let the last 7 minutes of the 1st period dictate how they start off in the 2nd. 60 minutes of hockey is needed to beat the Capitals regardless of record.
