Pretty sure it's legal if you don't cover it. If he simply swept it away, it should be fine. If his hand covered it as he swept it, it should be called.

A big shout out to JT Miller playing in his first NHL game today with the Rags against the Devils. I played beer league softball with him a year ago and is a good friend of my brothers.
