They just put a winter storm warning up for my area....4-8" of snow. I'd be happy with anything more than a couple inches <--I'm calling twss on my own post.

I had the weather on in the background talking about the storm and all i heard was "blah blah blah, will really slam New York, toward Long Island and up through Boston." I immediately thought Sid should get a twitter and make fun of them.

It will be interesting to see if the Pens and Devlis can get out of New Jersey on Saturday and back to Pitt for the game on Sunday. It looks like the Pens should be able to get to NJ on Friday before the storm hits.

Newark airport is terrible in nice weather, not where you want to be in a storm.

For the Philly suburbs, the heavy snowstorm is so close, yet so far away. We are supposed to get 3-6" today. If you go about 50 miles NE of my location, you are suddenly looking at 8-14". Another 50 miles, 14-20".

I read the pens are leaving early this morning and practice in NJ. I hope they can return for sunday's game.

So aside from the blizzard, Boston should be getting 40 mph winds....oh, I guess they're already at 40 mph range and will be staying above 30 mph until 7am. Weather Channel is now saying that Scituate is seeing 54 mph winds and may gust up to 60.

Unless NOAA or NWS names them, their naming scheme doesn't exist. It is all for marketing/ratings.
