it's offside...Steigy said offside....I'm not sure where this "offsides" term comes from in hockey. It's not just you've I've heard it from, it's many.
Isn't "offsides" used in football? Is that where is comes from? Because, being a Canadian and growing up around the sport my whole life, I can honestly say I've never heard it called "offsides" until just the last couple years.
To me it doesn't make sense. You can go offside, but you can't go offsides.
