I agree with all of this except Perry. With Anaheim playing well the impossiblity of acquring Perry just became even more impossible

I haven't seen much of him at all this year, but I did see yesterday's game vs. DAL and he was a soft floater like whipped cream in a mug of cocoa. Blech.

I watched Setoguchi tonight during the Wild game.....I wouldn't have a problem with acquiring him as long as we didn't overpay. His RH one timer on the PP would be a welcomed addition....as well as his speed with Sid.

People can wait DB fired all they want, it's not gonna ever happen on Shero's watch. Shero's mentor Poile has stuck with Trotz forever. Shero will do the same. MT wasn't hired by Shero. Just gotta accept it.

Historically, Trotz is a coach that has overachieved with an average roster. The situation is the opposite in Pittsburgh.

Shero doesn't have to make the decision. Bylsma wouldn't be the first coach Mario has fired. I'd hate to see it happen, but unless Bylsma has an epiphany, this groundhog day routine will bury him after another successful season followed by playoff failure.

It's unlikely, but I don't think it's out of the question that Shero will make a change before the end of the season.

I could argue that Bowman's tenure in Pittsburgh was better. Its pretty close though.

Blysma's not going to get fired during the season, no matter who becomes available as coach. If the Pens lose in the 1st or 2nd round again, I sure as h-e-double-hockey sticks hope he gets the can.

But for now, he's showing moderate improvement as a coach, slowly making adaptations, as he did after the loss to the isle at the beginning of the season. He's still green and learning. The key will be, can he learn fast enough? This is really the year he's got to show that progression. But another collapse and man, off with his head.

Yeah, inherited a world championship team whose coach just died(/was dying), took them to a cup win, then took them to the franchises best regular season ever only to get knocked out in the second round. He basically had the same tenure as Bylsma, only cut it off instead of letting the team become a great regular season/horrible playoff team.
