The Lakers are what, 3 games under .500? I dont know if its ESPN acting like the worlds oxygen supply is running low, or the Lakers (Kobe) acting like their lives are over, or both, but my God. Screamin A. Smith is now having a sit down with Kobe about it.

Kobe has been insanely levelheaded about this. Annoyingly so, in fact.

Attended a Houston Rockets game the other night. I may have written Jeremy Lin off as an NYC media fabrication too soon. He carried the team but was not enough to beat the Spurs in OT.

Entertaining but not hockey.

Basketball can be entertaining at times, I like the three point plays and the fast break, but its just not as entertaining as hockey or football inmy opinion. I'm a fan of the Boston Celtics (been one since I was a kid) and I always buy LP when the 2nd half rolls around and I always go to Cleveland every year to see them play and have a blast.

You may want to pretend like this has nothing to do with the Thunder, but it does. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Maloofs are nearing a deal to sell the Sacramento Kings to a Seattle group led by Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer. Which of course means the Kings are moving to Seattle, most likely to begin next season.

The Seattle group led by Hansen has jumped all necessary hurdles, the biggest one getting an arena deal approved. That isn’t set to be finished for a few years so reportedly the plan would be for the team to play in Key Arena for a couple seasons, which was deemed unfit to house an NBA team by the league five years ago.

coach mark jackson said in an interview that he was at a disadvantage not having these when he played and the old jerseys made him slower.

also lebron became the first person in nba history to average .600 from the field and have 30+ points for five straight games.

I guess I should have posted this here, but I went to my first NBA game on Friday. Wizards dominated the Nets. The Nets are a deliciously hilarious mess.

i think the goal of these jerseys, and this is only my opinion, is to try to make these the standards in hopes that more jerseys will sell. people cant wear basketball jerseys by themselves and not look ridiculous. they always have to wear an undershirt and for a lot of people, it stops them from purchasing them. i would much rather wear a t-shirt style jersey like this as opposed to the two shoulder strap style that is the current norm (even though they have thickened the shoulder width considerably).

very good insight and probably pretty close to what the nba is trying to do. rich fat old white men and women do not look attractive in tank tops. however, it is passable for rich fat men and women to wear an NFL jersey.

although it should be noted that kenny the kangaroo and friends often sported nba jerseys in the late 90's in middle school when they were very popular. kenny the kangaroo sported a jordan jersey of course, as well as one of those ugly teal grant hill pistons jerseys

I wouldn't mind having a Mutombo jersey.
That sixers team that lost in the finals is the last NBA squad I really cared about.

I really think this is The Twin Towers' year. Sampson is finally gonna give a damn and Hakeem is phenomenal.

But even if the make the finals, I doubt they'll beat the Celtics. The big three of Bird, McHale and Parish have been unstoppable, Bill Walton has been a beast as the team's 6th man and the Celtics have only lost one home game all year.

I also rocked the Carter UNC jersey, as well as an Ed Cota and Jason Capel. Oof. I found my old Glenn Robinson Bucks and Shawn Kemp Sonics jerseys at my moms house over Christmas as well.
