freaking bullcrap. Wrestling is one of the few remaining sports in the olympics that I look at and say, "yeah... that was probably done in ancient greece."

What a joke. IOC has to be one of, if not the, most corrupt organizations in the world.

"We have promised things and we have delivered," he said after Tuesday's decision. "That gives me a great feeling. It also gives me new energy to develop our sport further and never give up."

Solid quote from the guy in charge of modern pentathlon. Bribes go a long way with the IOC.

The IOC are a bunch of money grabbing idiots that don't care about integrity of the Olympics and only care about the marketability of the Olympics. Its disgraceful at how they have bastardized the meaning of the olympics.

Watching wrestling makes me uncomfortable. Sounds good.

I had a professor who worked for the IOC, and she confirmed that people were bribed all the time.

I don’t understand this decision. I can hardly think of a sport that is more, well, “Olympic” in character than wrestling. Only perhaps the track-and-field sports would have an equal or longer history.

C2i and Shyster are right, that it's probably one of the few sports that has its roots traced back to the original Olympics.

What's next, removing the torch-lighting ceremony for a LED-type torch that lights on cue (sponsored by GE and presented by NBC)?

Any truth to the rumor that Berlusconi is lobbying to have bunga bunga added in 2024?
