There's not a shred of evidence to support that "truth". Shero made a contract offer to Jagr. That is a fact. Was it a lowball offer? Perhaps, but why would he make any offer at all if he, as Idoit40fans asserts, "had no intention of signing him"? And the offer was not withdrawn until after
free agency had commenced, when Shero realized that he was not going to get a quick reply from Jagr. Shero did not want to get burned a la Hossa while waiting on an answer from Jagr.
I love the Calgary fans' salute of Jagr. In wearing so many different uniforms, it shows what a mercenary Jagr has been throughout his career. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
