"The nonconference schedule in our league is ridiculous," Alvarez said on WIBA-AM in Madison, Wis. "It's not very appealing ...

"So we've made an agreement that our future games will all be Division I schools. It will not be FCS schools."

Fantastic move, and I suspect the other major conferences will follow suit. Even if they swap in MAC and C-USA or whatever the conference is called, that's better than beating Savannah State by 70. The SOS the committee will review in choosing the playoff teams is paying dividends.

Apparently everyone but Emmert knew the investigators were breaking the rules. Good thing Emmert doesn't hold himself to the same standards he holds coaches and schools.

Twitter blowing up that UNC has an offer from the Big 10 and UVA is likely to join, and GT is still in the picture.

From the UMD guy that broke UMD to Big 10.

Why would UNC leave Duke/NC State rivalry?

Someone asked Brett McMurphy on Twitter about UNC. His reply? "don't report speculation on this stuff, so i've got nothing".

I think Duke would be a long for the ride.

NC St, why would Texas A&M leave Texas?

Why would Pitt and PSU/WVU leave?

Why would Mizzou/KU split?

Miami hit with the dreaded lack of institutional control by an organization epitomizing lack of institutional control at the moment. The NCAA should scrap their own report and use Charles Robinson's work. He's written that everything in his report was corroborated by documentation. Somehow the NCAA in 2 years has made a mess of things that were handed to them on a platter.
