Buying a new bed. (Mattress and Box Spring)

I was going to buy a Super Pillow Top queen size from The Original Mattress Factory.

So far, my experience with them has been nothing but positive. Anyone buy a mattress and box spring through them before? Anyone have any thoughts?

What i'm getting:

I can't vouch for the Original Mattress Company, but last year, my wife and I did some shopping for a new mattress. We shopped around to a ton of places and ended up getting a set made by American Sleep company. The quality of this set is just amazing and a year later still feels like the day we got it. They are American made in an employee-owned company, if that is important to you. Usually independent stores sell this brand (where we got ours), but they do have them at Sam's Club too.

I have tried the sleep number bed and not been impressed. The two favorites of mine were the top level pillow top and the synthetic foam.

I have a king size pillow top.... I'm not sure from who but I love it. I also was not impressed with the sleep number.

My biggest problem is I don't sleep anymore. All that bed goes to waste.

I have a king size from the Original Mattress Factory and it is still in great shape after almost 10 years. I need something extra firm and this one still provides the right support. Something that people often forget is to turn and flip the mattress every few months. I have been trying to do that regularly and I think it definitely has extended the life of the mattress and maintained the comfort level.

I slept on a sleep number once and it was really bad compared to my bed from the Original Mattress Factory.

I got my bed from JCPenney. Its a Queen sized bed that is now sitting in storage as we use my girlfriend's full sized bed.

When we move to a new apartment in the fall though...we are definitely going to the queen.

I have no idea how 2 people sleep in a full size bed. A queen is borderline too small for us. California king or bust once we buy our own home.

tempur-pedic. it's worth every penny. the only bad thing about owning a tempur-pedic is that it makes staying in hotels difficult because the beds aren't as comfortable.

KENNY the kangaroo has a rip off sealy (serta) memory foam bed and while it was pricey (not as pricey as a tempur pedic, but still pricey) it was a great investment
