I tried reading the letter. Given the poor grammar and no punctuation, I couldn't finish it. Not to mention the nonsensical rambling.

The man is a life coach? Talk about being in the wrong profession...

I would so embarrassed if I was Ryan. I wonder what he has to say about Cal?

I know you're not supposed to wish for players to get hurt, but I hope O'Reilly suffers a career ending injury off the ice before he comes back. Easily my most hated player in sports right now.

I've heard he wants to be captain. What a great form of leadership he is showing right now.

I heard an interview with Duchene last week on the way home. He basically said that he's worried about the guys on the roster right now. I wish I could have heard his response to that question with 4 or 5 drinks in him. I may have read it here, or just heard it somewhere, but I heard rumors that O'Reilly's camp was mad at Duchene for taking the contract he did and thus artificially setting a ceiling for O'Reilly. Duchene is a class act, O'Reilly would fit better in the holdout happy NFL. What a piece of ****.

I hear some Flyers fans clamoring for O'Reilly--some of the nuttier ones (everything's relative) always seem to want what they can't have or don't need. I'd LOL.

He's holding out for a ridiculous contract. If I recall he wants something like $5M/season. Hold outs with out-of-whack demands typically attract scorn.

I think it's pretty stupid to hold that against the player. It's just business.

It's not "just business" when he's coming off an entry-level contract. He's nowhere near the point in his career where he should be holding out for money he thinks he deserves.

I think its pretty stupid and ignorant to not see the difference between earning a contract and being a whiny child

Uhhh... actually, he's exactly at the point in his career where he can choose not to play until he and the team come to an agreement.

Besides, we don't *know* what he's asking for; not that it matters.
