Looks like Pitt will open up at home on Labor Day with FSU (8PM kickoff). A lot of Pitt people aren't happy about this, but personally, I love it. Pitt has way more to gain playing FSU to open the season vs playing Nova. Pitt loses to FSU, no one should be too upset because FSU is the superior program and is expected to come into Heinz and win. Pitt wins, then its a huge boost of confidence for a program that sorely needs one. Plus, FSU is breaking in a new QB and a ton of new starters on both sides of the ball, so they will be vulnerable.
On the other hand, if Pitt beats Nova, no one cares because they were supposed to and they gain nothing. If they lose, then it's YSU all over again.
