This isn't an uncommon move for a GM, just waiting for another job and keeping himself familiar with the action. As a pro scout, you're largely following the NHL. It's a fine fit for him and for the Ducks. Two big contracts coming up for Anaheim, I wonder if Burke will sit in on the talks and just glare at them until they sign something...
