Dupuis is there until he leaves the team I would say. The guy has matured into an actual top 6 winger whether you, me, or anyone likes it or not.

I think different people have very different definitions of an "actual top 6 winger." Dupuis is never going to be Mike Bossy, but he has more skill than many people give him credit for, and the little things he brings consistently (near-elite skating, smart positioning, aggressive forechecking and backchecking, and some grit in the corners and blocking shots) make him a better fit on Crosby's wing than many players with much more scoring skill. I think that and the production (~ 0.6 ppg over the past couple of years) is why some people call him a legit top-6 winger, and the fact that 0.6 ppg is half of what, say, Rick Nash might be able to get on Crosby's wing is what makes other people bemoan his utilization on the first line.

It wouldn't shock me if Ray Shero tried an offensive upgrade on Crosby's wing one year at the trade deadline, if the right situation presented itself. If they could get an elite scoring winger as a rental without giving up much, Dupuis could be displaced. But the Penguins have more pressing problems to solve right now. Dupuis does a pretty good job where he is.

Short term memory loss for Geno. That may be beneficial in terms of stopping the turnovers lol
