Seems you already have.
I record it and watch the opening, some of the monologues, the news and a few other skits.

Last time I watched this was somewhere in the 80's or early 90's.

I think if you go through the archives you'll find at least 5.

I mean, I think the TV shows thread would work just fine, and I still watch it mostly.

The last time I watched it, some guy was imitating Chris Matthews of Hardball. Had to be early 2000s, I think Will Ferrell was still on the show.

Do I watch it? It depends on who is hosting. More than likely I'll complain about it like everybody else, but every once in awhile there is something that is funny. At best, weekend update is still good for a few laughs.
Does it require a thread? Why not? I've seen a bunch of mentions of it in JTOR. I say edit the title and make this the thread.

That was Darrell Hammond. He was one of my favorite cast members for his impersonation of President Clinton.

I think with Timberlake hosting next weeks show it will be good. The votes speak for themselves, A big NO. Will keep it in the tv shows/JTOR.

I'll watch it occassionally. I used to watch it all the time back in the early 90s, that crew was great.
Now, if we remember it's on and we are up, the wife and I will watch some of it. Maybe catch 4 or 5 episodes a season.

SNL has been on for thirty odd years, and I can only think of perhaps 7-8 seasons that were quality through and through. There have routinely been outstanding highlights - Weekend Update has been really good and even great for almost all of the show's run - but the overall product has always been more 'meh'.

I think it has been a decade since i watched it. I catch the good skits on youtube when people tell me about them.

I stand corrected. The episode with Timberland was very good. I think it helps having the older cast and stars back. But JT is very funny.
