Maybe don't go studs up into an opponent, and you avoid putting the decision of a yellow v. red into an official's hands. It wasn't a bad call; I'd say it was harsh at most.

Red was harsh, but hardly a terrible call.

Nani knew he was in trouble thats why he was laying on the ground faking an injury.

Well, that PSG v. Valencia game was a let down. I hadn't assume seen PSG play since all of their big-money editions, so I was expecting they would be exciting to watch (even with Ibrahimovic suspended). However, they looked very pedestrian and were lucky that Valencia wasn't good enough to take advantage of their sluggishness.

Fun match. Won't even complain about the ref letting Spurs get away with murder. Nice to see a team in a LFC match make horrendous gaffes on defense and for once Pool not be the team doing it.

I watched the Chelsea v. Man U game. I dislike both teams, but it was a great game. Chelsea really should have finished them off in the last 10-15 minutes.

Exactly. What shocked me is that after the pine marten bit the stupid D-man, he just got his finger bandaged and continued playing! I'd expect that in this case, you'd probably want to take him to the hospital for a tetanus shot...

Anyway, here is the video:

The goal of the year happened in the champions league last night...No, no the UEFA Champions League, the CONCACAF champions league.

...and it was scored by none other than former Liverpool man, Djimi Traore.

The Seattle match was great to watch in the second half after Tigres got a man sent off.

Just a reminder that Djimi Traore has been on more Champions League winning teams than Robin Van Persie.

I only saw one replay of the tigres player's second yellow, but from the angle I saw, it looked like a blatant dive by EJ.

But yeah, Seattle's first goal was pretty sweet too. I hope the Obafemi Martins deal gets finalized.

I think it was deserved, Tigres' manager agreed as well. Johnson could have been sent off I think as well later in the second. It was terribly ridiculous that Sigi left him on the field, especially since he basically quit playing in the 85th minute.

Liverpool had the brilliant idea to set up a Twitter Q&A session with Stewart Downing. And this is the result

Here are a selection of some of the wise cracks aimed at the Reds winger:

@DualeAdam1 If you were a footballer, what would your preferred position be?

@Liam Payne ?Payny_01 How did you feel last season knowing Tim Howard was closer to lifting the golden boot than you?

@BillHansen28 So you left Aston Villa for Champions League football. How's that working out for you?

@Notcarlcole On a scale of 1 to Jesus, how good are your crosses?

@Dave B MUFC ?Bowsy_How did it feel to have more arrests than assists last season?

@arpan_manutd Do you know any footballer (except you) who is neither footed?

@Jon Barbuti Which Premier League bench is the comfiest?

@Fergie's Hairdryer How do you get to the other side of the road when you don't know how to cross?

@marc sepetowski ?sepo_efc Do you consider yourself to be just as bad as jordan henderson?

@?JacobCampbell5 Did you pick number 19 because you knew it would take about 19 months before you did anything of any kind of use ?

@?Abdn_Horror_Guy If you were to transfer away from Liverpool, how many goats and cows would your new club receive in the dowry to take you?

@?lloydturner1 How do you ignore all this abuse and carry on day to day ? #respect

Robben is ridiculously talented but looks like someone I'd hate to play with on a team.
