Spent the better part of 2 weeks in the Daytona area.
A lot the stuff I tried wasn't really worth mentioning. One bears repeating, however: http://www.mypiada.com/
There is a neat little area off of 675 called "The Greene"... http://www.thegreene.com/
It's almost like a little town full of restaurants and shops. Very cool. We ate dinner their twice... once @ the Cheesecake Factory, and once @ an italian place called Brio's. Brio's was good, albeit somewhat expensive. Had some Mushroom Soup which was good, Shrimp and Crab Cakes which were excellent, and drank a couple Peronis.
We went to Carrabbas the night before the storm... it was an unbalanced meal in that the Minestrone I got was awesome (and really hit the spot given that it was cold and starting to snow)... but the marsala I got was so nondescript that I felt embarrassed for them. Chicken had little to no seasoning and the sauce barely had any flavor... kind of ridiculous for a wine sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes were decent, but they couldn't save the chicken. I'll take Olive Garden's stuffed Chicken marsala and Garlic-Parm mashed potatoes any day.
The night of the Panthers game, we ate at The Rusty Bucket. Got their "3-way" which was really good. The cheesy garlic bread that came with it was great as well. They had a lot of TVs, but did not have center ice... not that I'm exactly broken up over not seeing that debacle.
