almost finished season 3 of arrested development with my wife. she's a first timer, and it's been awesome seeing the show gradually win her over. the Rita reveal was particularly enjoyable.

My wife and I had never seen this show, and started watching it on Netflix. We generally watch 1-2 episodes a night, awesome stuff. I think we're just getting into the 2nd season

there has never been a sitcom that matched the quality of arrested development - season 2.

I still think the finest 22 minutes of television of all time was the Arrested Development episode "Good Grief" where they have the fake funeral for George

in second part of the two parter, "It's the end of the world"/"As we know it" - question:

Couple of random thoughts of TV shows I caught up on over the weekend:

Community - This season hasn't been too bad, but after a great start of the series, I think it's time for this show to end. Read an article where it said the finale will be set up to where it can be both the season and series finale. And when word comes of what the future holds, then they will go from there. But I think ti will end.

The Neighbors - I absolutely love this show. I hope it keeps going for a few more seasons and isn't one of those shows because it didn't catch on fire right away, it gets the ax.

Rules of Engagement - Never eally regliously watched this show, but I still DVR it and watch it from time to time. It's a show that keeps me entertained if nothing else is on. But it is probably coming ot it's end as well. The younger girl in teh couples took a dive in the looks department though.

The Simpsons - It's hit or miss, and has been for years. Still not even close to the golden years of season 3-9, but still decent. Can't believe it's in it's 24th season. I think they will hit season 25 and call it quits for the silver annivesery.

Go On - This is another show I've really enjoyed. Just like the Neighbors, I hope it gets a second season ( I think it already did). I'm enjoying this one as well.

And man, has any show ever taken a dump like Up All Night did. Wow.

How many episodes into Community are they in this season? That first episode was horrible. Not below expectations bad, below watchable bad.

5. I watched the first 3.

The first one I almost didn't want to watch anymore.

The second one was Halloween, because is was supposed to premiere around that time, but was moved to February. It was ok.

The 3rd one was decent as well. Not great, but not unwatchable.

I think this week (or next, I'm not sure) is supposed to be one of those episodes that it is all puppets. I dont' even think I'm going to watch that one. They hit one (when they were 8 bit video game characters), but totally struck out IMO (when they were stop motion) characters. I just can't see puppets working.

I think there are only going to be a total of 12 epiosdes this season. Chevy Chase has quit the show, so if they go to season 5, he won't be on anymore. But I doubt it gets picked up.

how long until Hell on Wheels is back? First season was Nov-Jan 11-12, second was Aug-Oct 2012. IMDB suggests sometime in 2013 but doesn't say when, and AMC's own site is silent other than it was renewed.

I pounded out the entire HoW seasons 1 and 2 in like a week and a half. By the time I got to the 2 week anniversary of commencing that show, I wanted to kill myself. I need the next season.

I noticed the lead actor from HoW plays the husband in the new ABC drama Red Widow. Based on the title of the show he might not be around much.

Somewhat concerned about all the showrunners "stepping down"... Season 2 was excellent.

History is putting the episodes out a week early on demand.

Lulz at the Bachelor. At least other reality shows don't take themselves so seriously.

well, if only because our DVR had picked up the Castles that were on before it, I bit the bullet and watched the farewell JR episode of Dallas on TNT. I've not watched it on a regular basis since about 2-3 eps into the first season last year. Looks like the show will ramp up the rest of the season dealing with the aftereffects. Might consider getting back into it.

I feared this would happen, but Archer is starting to annoy me, pretty much because they're leaking in political commentary way too much. I don't want lefty/righty rimroasts, I don't want character development, I want the damn faceplant funny that was seasons 1-3. At least balance the scales by having Lana get trained by a herd of illegals wearing mink coats and moveon.org tshirts.

Amazing Race

Spoiler:
I'll spoiler it, because I don't know who's watching it. The hockey players are still alive, and it didn't look good for them though. There's a father and son team running on three legs - the dad ruptured tendons and his Achilles's Heel. Eeek. Also, first team in AR history to get eliminated...while holding a Fast Forward. :face:
