I honestly believe the reason Sutter stayed with cooke and kennedy is to allow them to gel as a unit since Malkin isn't going to be out for an extended period of time. I think they are hoping that Jeffrey will somehow up his trade value too. First reason, though, I feel is 90% of the reason it was handled the way it was.
