Nutty bars and oatmeal cream pies are very good, I will say that.

I used to work for a guy, 60 year old guy, always lived in the east (New York area)...this guy is a pop culture machine, dealt in old magazines/newspapers/paper products and sports merch. You ask this guy who starred in a movie from the 1930's, he'd tell you. You ask him who grounded into a double play to end the 1924 World Series, he'd tell you. This guy could probably play the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game with anyone about anything.

Never had nor had ever heard of an Oatmeal Creme Pie...nor had his 30-something year old son, who is less in tune with the world, but marginally in tune with its seedy underbelly and sweets...

I thought it was absolute crazy talk...everyone knows what those things are, right? And they're quite delicious, might I add!
