I think the Leafs are more likely to move Kulemin than they are MacArthur. I would rather have Eric Fehr or Clowe than either one. We tend to get all giddy over MacArthur because of his success against us, not consistent enough. Clowe would be my first choice because he can play up and down the line-up. Clowe--Sutter--Fehr would be great and place Cooke on line 4.

I've always said that if your PK sucks, then at least it should be aggressive and try to score shorthanded. That way it can get back a few of the goals it allows.
Don't say that. It turns a molehill's worth of a problems into a mountain. You'll never ever cancel out enough PP goals to make it remotely sustainable. You just have to get better at the PK, that's all.

Jeffrey has been playing exactly like a young 3rd liner should, which is to say, he's decent most of time, has flashes of goodness, contributes every few games, and disappears a few games.
He provides an improving faceoff presence, he's good defensively, he can PK, play 2nd PP. He's scoring more than TK or anyone on the 4th line, in less TOI. Unless you were expecting him to replace Malkin the past few games, not sure how one could be disappointed with Jeffrey at this point. He should definitely replace Glass in the lineup when Malkin returns.
I agree. Next to a defensive D, a big power forward for Sutter is the next most important need. I like Clowe, but I'd really like Shero to surprise us with someone like Clowe was a few seasons ago. Someone with size, toughness and lots of vigor.
I would love, love, love to see Shero pick up Gabriel Bourque from Nashville. Though seeing as he leads the team in goals, and they're totally goal-strapped... it's probably impossible.
But the thinking is that perhaps Shero can find a guy who is not a rental, who can replace TK or Cooke next season as well. Glencross has been mentioned. Nick Foligno would be a possibility. Steve Ott. (Though any of those guys would probably cost Despres). Morrow would be a rental to be re-signed if he works out (same age as Kuntiz fwiw). Or how about Ryan Malone? Get TB to eat a million or two from his contract... Send them Maata or Dumoulin + TK...

Ideally, he won't be in the lineup, but I appreciate what he can bring when it happens.
I don't know that anyone was doubting that, and I don't have any problem with how Jeffrey has played. I was questioning the sanity of saying Bennett should be on the third line so that Jeffrey could play on the second with Malkin...
not saying that Jeffrey is better player thanBennett, love what I see from Bennett
Just saying that moving Bennett to 3rd line may balance the lines out & add more scoring ability to Sutter's line who most times out there is playing against top offensive lines
Jeffrey can add faceoff presence to Malkin line, size, defensive awareness and enough offensive ability to supplement 71 & 18. Bennett & Sutter form a dangerous 3rd line while Malkin & Neil continue to carry the 2nd line
ideally later Shero finds a winger to fill the Jeffrey 2nd line spot in trade market
