I wouldn't be upset if we lost him. he "young money" crew was more about bad attitudes than good performance last season.

When has ES ever had a bad attitude? Of the young money crowd, he was the one least outlandish

He didn't celebrate really, but he also on the rare occasion he wasn't hurt, he fumbled and/or dropped the ball repeatedly. I don't have problems with his attitude, just his hands.

The Pats disagree, as they've released Lloyd. Does he have any family from the 412? Would that be enough to make him eligible to play for the Steelers?

Joey Porter joins the long line of NFL idiots who spend tens of $millions during their career and become broke almost as soon as they leave the league

with that 70k bounced check, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a gambling problem.

From what ESPN is reporting. The Pats are interested in bringing Lloyd back at a reduced salary.. He's apparently willing to talk with them. I'm guessing Sanders is their backup plan if that doesn't work out

If they've signed Sanders to an offer sheet, Lloyd is the backup plan.

He played at Marshall, and Huntington is only about 4 hours from Pittsburgh so he's within the radius Pitt uses when chasing recruits.

Shefter reported on twiiter this AM that the Steelers made a push for Jake Long before he signed with the Rams.

That makes no sense to me, as OL if one of the few positions that they don't need to address immediately. Couple that with the fact that they didn't even offer Lewis a deal (in a position of need), it really makes me think they are losing their minds.

Allen will be a reasonable replacement for Lewis IMO.

I"m kind of glad they've turned over the roster like this. If the OL stays healthy, hit this draft and the next and you're back in the mix for 2014.

If the Steelers had snagged Jake Long, they would have arguably the best Offensive Line in football with 2 all-pro's guarding Big Ben. That would make Ben a potential MVP and making any RB that Pittsburgh has look competent. Couple that with the decline in WRs, it would allow Ben a little bit more time for Brown and Company to get open. All of this because signing an All-Pro occurred.

The signing of Lewis just means that they think they are deeper at CB than we think they are. I mean, they were on their 6th and 7th CB at one point and they weren't good, but far from being the worst thing I have ever seen.

It doesn't matter who are corners are if we can't get to the qb.

They could bring back Swanny for WR help. He could help Antonio Brown with his sad "my friends are gone, and now I can't get open" ballet routine.

Spaeth is unquestionably one of my least favorite Tomlin-era Steelers. He's garbage.
