Wow, that is pretty crazy. If it makes you feel any better, earlier this week, all 3 of my goalies played on the same day, and I benched Dubnyk, who ended up getting a shutout. At least the other 2 got wins that day.

Any team making a run want Pitkanen for a pick? .5 points per game and finally healthy. Not looking for anything crazy.

Theodore available for a jaunty tune

I'm interested in what others think of the trade. I though all season about dangling Richards or Gaborik in a trade, but I was more interested in acquiring the serviceable, non-keeper players for a trade. When bhaw said he was willing to dance and mentioned Henrik was available, I feel this deal just kind of fell in place. I mostly wanted to rid myself of Richards and Gaborik. I'm selling uber-low, but I really want to make another run this year, and those two, even if they remain solid keepers, are dragging my team down. I lose a keeper (and a pick), but I thought Backes/Ennis/Wheeler are sufficient replacements for Gaborik going into next season.

At the very least, Sedin is much better than Richards and Backes is playing much better than Gagborik. Add Ryder and Steen plus Lupul who just got off IR, and I feel my offense received a much-needed shot in the arm.

My initial thought was that bhaw had to be giving your real life dollars as part of this trade.

Yeah, I don't like the trade at all for bhaw. Gaborik over the wingers going to Hammer has a better chance than not of being a long-term upgrade as a keeper, but Richards is barely worth keeping. The difference between Richards and Sedin is far more than a 1st rder, I think.

No one else wanted to trade :pop:

Need to rebuild through the draft. Richards will get me one decent year out as a stop gap. But it allows my team to get younger and keep who I need until my goalie situation is figured out.

I personally think the trade is fine for bhaw. The upside of Gaborik/Richards > Sedin/Backes, in my opinion, but the chance that Gaborik and Richards return to that level is very uncertain. Bhaw noted that in the PMs, that he would bear the risk. Torts should lose his job this year, which could change everything. He's a rebuilding team; he needs to take chances.

I wanted to unload the two because they are bona fide keepers but dead space on my roster right now.

Interestingly, I have now traded for both Sedins.

Why is Jack Campbell on waivers right now? Would it be because he just got added to yahoo or something?
