Can't play much worse than that. Hopefully they come out and play the rest of the game with a lot more fire. Islanders came to play, but if the Pens can match them they should be able to win.

Yeah, that's the one, Golf channel and bunch of other things I don't watch. When I had FiOS in NJ a couple years ago, I think I got it for $5.95...just call them, ask'em for a deal on it...

I've tried. Multiple times. They've told me to get DirectTv or Comcast.

 Wow, really? That's weak. I've always had good luck with haggling in situations like that...that's unfortunate.

I'm not sure your computer capabilities or how often you utilize your computer to watch hockey, but there's that "unblock us" thread over in NHR. It might help if you don't like "stream searching" and the questionable quality that is associated with them...[/quote]

Yeah. I have a pretty solid stream I use. (most of the time, occasionally the guy who runs it restarts it to "test settings" in the middle of the game while play is going on and he talks a lot and plays terrible music. Its a good quality stream that looks decent on the big screen, other than that it stinks. Its just a pain to have to have my laptop hooked up for the entire game and everything.

Slow play in the period. Not a lot of legs from our guys...just a shot away though. We can do better with winning puck battles, our outlets are lazy and lack creativity and the Isles are jumping in from the point to cut off long passes...we just have to make an adjustment inside the wedge to set up a short pass that goes through the middle and then have a winger skate out of the zone to push their defensemen back...that'll give us a little breathing room. Hopefully HCDB makes a similar adjustment during the break to get some more puck possession...get moving forward here.

Underrated hockey sense play by Beau Bennett, that no one thinks about it. End of a long shift, Bennett is coming in 1 on 2, gets the red line and he's heading to the right side of the ice and that's the area that's open but he's going against one of their big puck movers (Lubo or Streit, I don't remember which any more) and he goes against the grain and dumps it into the opposite corner which is the side our bench is on so we have a better shot of getting the puck and less of a chance of a stretch pass beating us on the wrong side of our line change. Great little play, that's attention to detail by Beau, way to go!

@npv - I hear you. I've been using my laptop exclusively to watch hockey all year. Not the best situation, I know that much. Moving in about 10 days, and plan on getting TV. It'll be a nice change.

The 4th line looked useful at the end and drew a penalty. Like.

Is Bennett playing RW? If Kennedy was sick, why didn't the Pens recall a RW? Or is Bennett being tested at RW and Kennedy being held out so he doesn't get hurt???
Trade brewing?????

Sid is working hard and backchecking like a maniac. He's trying to make things happen.

Our PP entry is a joke. I have no idea why we have no support for the puck carrier. Just attack the puck carrier and we'll turn it over, teams know this.

Vokoun while saving us at times, still can look so lost at other times. Anyone else concerned with his mobility moving backwards? He fell over himself again tonight, much like he looked against Philly in that ugly one.

I said it before and I'll say it again, I would love to see us upgrade our faceoff numbers. Sid isn't doing well on the dot tonight, Sutter is 50% for the year, Adams is 40%, Jeffrey is 42%, and Geno is 45% (which is mind boggling that he doesn't improve). If Sid is off, the only other guy we can depend on is Vitale, and sometimes he doesn't even dress! Someone that can win draws like Sid would be a welcomed addition.

Pens lucky to be down 1. But they also had a lot of missed shots.

Vokoun doesn't have very good mobility because his style compromises his ability to get a strong, effective push off. He's just not a very good skater.

If his butterfly was wider, he could load and push better. Might be too many miles on the old hips to ask for that, though
