Do people really get a kick out of this type of thing...going on a message board and just making a complete horse's ass of yourself...I just can't imagine how fun that is...

I might make an ass of myself sometimes ("only sometimes?" - peanut gallery), but at least I try to make interesting discussion or make salient points. Otherwise, I just wouldn't bother...what a waste of time. If you're that bored, PD, just go kick rocks...

Actually, rock kicking is very underrated, although really just as an auxiliary activity. Like if you're already on the way walking to something, and are fortunate enough to come across a rock on the sidewalk or street, that sucker is just begging to be kicked until you either reach your destination, or eff up the kick so bad it's not worth it to go out of your way to get it back.

Wow, I read that as rock licking up until I got to "not worth it to go out of your way". I was in total agreement.

Nope...

It worked wonders with Neal though.

Don't ever go to a no rules offtopic forum. Some people are professionals of just that.

Cooke didn't practice, so the 3rd line was 19-16-48.

Haven't heard anything on why Cooke didn't practice

According to HCDB, Cooke has been playing injured but is ok to play. Doesn't want him doing 2 skates a day.

After the smoke clears with the expanded roster Bennett should play RW on the 3rd line.

Which will be fine as long as Bennett, Sutter and Cooke eat up most of the 4th lines ES minutes and keeping Adams and Glass strictly for PK and Kennedy for 2nd unity PP and double shifting Malkin or Sid with him.

To make things more clear about my earlier statements:

I have no problem with Shero parting with assets to "win now".

The problem is that me along with most Stars fans believe the Penguins actually got worse by adding Morrow to the team, and not increasing the chances of winning the cup.

Dallas fans take on Morrows issues earlier this season:

Yeah I think Shero lost his marbles on this one. I would bet that not one person on this board would have signed on to this deal before it happened. That's why the initial reaction to the report was near total disbelief.

Now of course after the fact people are trying to talk themselves into it. But I can't. I hate this trade so much and I actually like the pick up. But the price is terrible.

I'm not a huge fan of this trade (and yes I was a fan of Guerin /Roberts trade from the beginning). I wasn't sure if those would work out (but like Poni / Gill / Kovalev, etc..) they were all typical "low to no risk, high reward" type of trades... so why not make them?

This trade actually has some risk, so I don't really understand all the 1:1 comparisons.

That being said, all of my knowledge on J. Morrow is hearsay, and I'm guessing Shero isn't high on him. I'm basically just going with "In Ray I trust"

I'm hoping this is one of those moves that makes sense in the tightened atmosphere of the playoffs when you finish every hit no matter what and the "subtle" interference begins to take place... I'll at least wait until Malkin comes back to really judge though. My initial reaction is that I don't like it.
